With all the different fad diets out there, how are you going to choose the best one for losing arm fat? I believe that it has become increasingly difficult to select the right diet.

But don't worry because I'm here to help.

Here are 6 reasons why arm fat and fasting don't mix:

1. Too much muscle loss. Once the muscle is gone the metabolism plummets. And a slower metabolism translates into less calories burned, even while you sleep.

2. Arm fat rebound. Fasting can produce some lightning-quick results. But once you get off the fast the fairy tale is over. How so? Massive regains of fat and water.

3. Can't be sustained. Fasting is a non-sustainable endeavor. Eventually you will have to get off of the fast or you'll suffer some pretty serious health issues. Not good.

4. Intense hunger pangs. At least on a low carb diet you get the satiating effect of protein. But on a fast you get nothing. The end result? Uncontrollable urges to eat and eat, and eat.

5. Massive lethargy. Your body loves carbohydrates for energy. But without carbohydrates it can manage with protein. When you fast, your body gets neither. The end result? It eats away muscle tissue for energy.

6. More sick days. Talk about a decrease in productivity! You can expect a much higher frequency of sickness as a result of muted immune responses. Without enough food, your body's immune response will be severely compromised.

There are much more effective and sustainable ways of losing arm fat. And why start fasting if you can't sustain it? Moreover, why subject yourself to the possibility of a major weight gain rebound? Ignore the fads and stick to what is sustainable and to what works. Only then will you reach sexy arm success!

Do you know which area you should be targeting to get rid of flabby arms ASAP? It's the long head of your triceps. And to effectively firm up this area you need to know which exercises are top notch.

And with all the advice out there some women are simply lost.

The reality is that many women are utterly lost and confused when it comes to picking the right exercises for reducing flabby arms. All the opinions leave some women paralyzed with indecision.

So ignore the hype and read my analysis of machine triceps extensions for losing arm flab:

1. Snap shot: This exercise does a great job of targeting the long head of the triceps. This is the specific area where most arm fat hangs from. It's commonly referred to as the bingo wing.

2. Technical jump start: Find a machine with a bar attached to a pulley. Face away from the machine. Grab the bar with an overhand grip, keep your arms behind your neck and dig into the ground with your feet. Push the bar upwards at an angle. Then return it in a controlled manner.

3. Frequent mistakes: Allowing the back to fall out of alignment. Not keeping the elbows frozen in place. Allowing the head to dip forward. And pushing against the machines bar after the triceps have reached the point of absolute fatigue.

4. Bottom line: This is one of my favorite exercises for toning the triceps area and losing arm flab. It does a superb job of targeting the long head of the triceps with minimal risk of injury. Very few exercises can accomplish this.

For the fastest results you have to perform the most effective exercises. Anything less and you'll have to spend more time and energy trying to lose arm flab. Even worse, if you do the wrong exercises you could significantly increase your risk of injury. So stick to basic exercises that allow you to use heavy weights with minimal risk of injury.
