| I checked out the bowflex and the golds gym etc. and then I saw these online, then checked out youtube reviews and seen they had them at Dicks sporting goods. I went and checked them out and they were everything I had wanted in a compact comfortable adjustable dumbell set. I can't say enough about them. Who ever designed them had there shiznit together. I bought the lower end line that doesn't have the 21/2 lbs increments, it saved me about $80. Probably should have went all the way and got the higher line but I'm more than happy with what I got. I'm in the process of building my own personal excercise room and there will be limited space. I couldn't have bought a more perfect addition! These are smaller and take up less room than any other out there. |

| The weights came quicker than I thought and it was through regular FedEx delivery. Although the outer cardboard box was a little beat-up (expected of course, being that the weights inside weigh 45lb. each and they have to be transported long distances), the weights came in perfect shape. I didn't notice any scratch marks on them nor did it appear to be tampered with. Till this day (been using them about 2 months now), they've been working out very well for me. |

I noticed that some reviewers (the ones rating the PowerBlocks the lowest) are talking about a completely different model. This set does not have "interior weights" and you do not remove weights in the handle to switch between any weight and the next one you want. With this set, all you ever do is slip the pin from one weight to the next.
For P90X it's good to be able to change weights fast, so this is a good set to get. Also, the weight range is great and will perfectly suit almost every excercise, except you may have to do a few extra reps on the rows ("lawnmowers"). The set is as compact as dumbells of the same weight, so you can do curls without banging your legs. If you pick a lighter PowerBlock weight, the weight is shorter, more compact, than a bigger weight, just as regular dumbells would be--unlike other brands where you still have a long handle with a tiny weight.
Other PowerBlock models do use handle weights which can slow things down, and are not the best pick for P90X. You can identify these sets by their descriptions, or by the picture which will show the included, silver, cylindrical add-in weights.
My own set is an older model that goes 5-50 lbs in 5 lb increments. In any case an adjustable set is very economical. Regular dumbells cost around $1.20 a pound (gray, tube handle) or $2.20 a pound (black, rubber coated, shaped handle). so a set going from 5 to 45 pounds in 5 pound increments would run $550-$1000 a set.
Nevertheless, if you have both space and money, a complete set of regular dumbells is the best, safest, fastest, and most flexible of all. I have a full set at one house, and a PowerBlock at the other. They both do the trick. |

| Love how balanced these weights are not to mention the ease of changing from one wight to another. I am just getting back into lifting so it will definitely be a while before i come close to out growing these.I am just thrilled to have an easy way of working out at home nice and convenient. |

I've wanted to own these for years but could never convince myself they were worth the price. Well they are. They're compact, balanced and comfortable. And of course the best aspect is that they take up a square ft. of room when not in use.
Stop tip-toe'g around your weight room floor and buy these now. |
